Best place for old german car in PA. The boss and technicians there are professional and many of then had worked for the dealer before. They won't use the diagnose results from the dealers and they check the car by themselves. The price is reasonable and good. Cheaper than the dealer. You can 100% trust what they said. The company runs by the fame not by the interest from the auto part or labor. I will highly recommend this place if your car gets high mileage or your car are too old to get the fare autopart from dealer.

My 2013 BMW is out of warranty and I have been unhappy with service departments in the three local BMW dealerships in my area. I was searching for an independent shop that specialized in the premium German automobiles- BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Audi. This shop had consistently good reviews and certified mechanics so I made an appointment for a regular service. I was very impressed with this shop. It is a family business so the atmosphere is very cordial and relaxed, but workshop was so clean you could almost eat off the floor. The cars in the shop were a mix of BMW, Mercedes and Porsche, and I was encouraged when I saw the mix of newer cars and and a number of older cars that appeared to be in perfect shape. Obviously this is a place where people who care about their cars will go for service. When I came to pick up the car the owner came up to explain what work was done and presented a bill that I estimate to be about 40% less than a dealer would have charged. No bad surprises, and no up-sell. Highly recommended

This is an update to my original review 3 weeks ago, which received 1 star due to a number of issues encountered. After a bit of communication with the owner(s), they made a nice gesture of good faith and gave a partial refund for the services we felt were mis-handled. When a business owner steps up and does the right thing, it's a reflection of their core values. It was appreciated and as a result, shows they are good people.

G.A.S. is an honest repair shop. They run their business the way; it used to be. If you own a German car; do not go to the dealership. I have been a customer for 15+ years. The only time I go to the dealership is to purchase a new vehicle.

Simply put, they're the best. JR and his team are super knowledgable, honest and do top notch work. As a car nerd myself, I appreciate their expertise and personalized service. They are very sympathetic to the plight of owning an older German car and stand behind their work 100%, and their prices are very reasonable considering. I've used them for several major repairs on my Audi, which are notoriously difficult cars to work on, and have been very impressed. I wish every business I dealt with was as competent and honest as they are. I highly recommend them.

My vehicle went down Friday evening about an hour before German Auto Specialist closed. I call the shop and spoke to Steve. He told me that I can have my vehicle towed there, dropped off, and leave the key in the drop box. I did just that. I spoke with him later after he ran diagnostics on my vehicle and told me what went wrong, what I needed to replace, and what it would cost. I gave him the go ahead to order the parts and to get started. I also expressed my concerns about having my vehicle back in time to drive out of state to visit family for Christmas. I was contacted 3 days after we last spoke, it was Steve letting me know my vehicle was complete. Driving the vehicle out of state immediately after picking it up from a shop was a test in itself. Needless to say, I made it to my destination without an issue. Thank you to Steve and all at German Auto Specialists for saving this guys Christmas with family. Definitely recommend this shop and will definitely be back for future services.

I'm currently sitting in the lobby of GAS as they're fixing an issue caused by Pep Boys of East Norriton and the burden of dealing with Benz related drama is off of my shoulders. I had a horrible experience at Pep Boys and they're fixing the messy oil change that they started. John was so helpful in explaining what was wrong with my ML350 and how it needed to be rectified. He even wrote up an assessment to give to the Pep Boys and offered to explain at length to their service manager about the issue. In addition to that, he gave me a voucher for a car wash to try and get rid of the excess oil that was covered on my undercarriage. The icing on the cake? An adorable dog! You've acquired a customer for life, GAS. Thank you so much!
